New Shoes!

I broke the shoe ban my mother imposed on me to buy these beauties. She says they look like clown shoes but she doesn't know what she's talking about (Love you mum!)

So I have decided to create two looks so you know how to style these babies without looking like you fell of the back of a circus wagon!

Outfit of the Day: Garage Party

Chilled music, chilled life.

Illustrations

I have a new obsession: Illustrations. My favourites usually come in the form of cute animals that I wish I could have tattooed on my body if I was cool and indie enough. Take a peek at my favourites:

Okay, so that was a fuckload. I could not choose my favourites at all. However, I do have an album of 89 saved. I think I did well and I hope there is at least one in the mix that you like.

Movie Monday: The Perks of Being a Wallflower

Like it says on the back of the book, 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower is a deeply affecting coming-of-age story that will spirit you back to those wild and poignant roller-coaster days known as growing up.' For most people reading this (myself included), these times are happening now and most people that read the book or watched the film will feel it is about them. The mix-tapes, drugs and Rocky Horror Picture Show are things I can definitely relate to - sometimes I feel like a wallflower. I see things and I understand.

The characters in the film are beautifully crafted and portrayed by lovelies such as Emma Watson, Logan Lerman and Ezra Miller.

Unlikely Style Icon: Rachel Berry

Maybe to some people, Rachel Berry is already a style icon but if she isn't, then I'll examine the ways you could work a little sexy schoolgirl librarian chic into your outfits. In Series One, there isn't much style to be picked up on - it's not that great. But as the series go on, she flourishes.

She always has perfect hair and makeup and dresses nicely - not too slutty, not too much like a nun.

The Coolest Girls on Earth

There's nothing I love more than subcultures. After doing culture for my AS Level Textiles, I have many fabulous photos I accumulated and I would love to share the girls who are literally the coolest people to ever walk the Earth.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show

Usually when people talk about Rocky Horror, they have some extravagant, coming-of-age, self-realisation story that is completely beautiful and inspiring. But for me, I don't have a story. My mum simply bought me the DVD because I'm cultured, weird and love musicals. However, this film is a piece of cult art that everyone has their own interpretation of and to me, that makes things more special. It was something new and bizarre of its age - a social eye-opener, if you will. It explores themes that were taboo in at the time, such as the sexual themes and homoeroticism. [Okay, so they were taboo subjects in day-to-day life. Let's push the magnificent 'underground' scene to the side for a sec.] I just love the decadence and confusion and the soundtrack and the culture that has grown from the film! I would adore to go to a midnight showing but I live in the least exciting town in Britain.
